Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced interruptions to water systems, according to local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to restore power.

A series of attacks struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people hurt in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.
